Voima Baseball Team

This is a picture of the Finntown Voima baseball team. These guys were heroes to Dave, Bill and I. They played in a Finnish league, which included teams in Ohio. They also played in a local industrial league which included many small towns in the area. Barb Hakanen and I once got an inquiry via the Nanty-Glo website from a woman in Finland. Her grandmother was a sister to Mrs Aho, a neighbor in Finntown when I was growing up. Her sons, Harry and Hobart were members of the Voima team. I sent her this picture. She was extremely great-full and said she could see family resemblances.
