Finntown Sewing Club

This photo was taken July1942. Mom was pregnant with Dennie who was born two months later. The celebration was a shower for her. I was taken outside a home that served home-made meals. It was located on route 22 east of Mundey's Corner. In the photo (left to right) are: Bernice Wertz, Mom, Bertha Roman, my aunt Blanch, Jenny Little, Twyla Gamber and my aunt Sylvia. I'm assuming Aunts Blanch and Sylvia were guests, not members of the sewing club. There were two other member's who probably didn't attend the dinner. They were Veda Gamber and Emma Anderson. They met in each others house. I don't recall how often but I do remember when they met at our house Mom would set-up the large quilting frame in the kitchen.
