Mom and Dad
Mom and Dad in grandpa and grandma Whitsell's back yard. I believe this photo was taken 1937 or38. I'm not sure what Dad has in his mouth? It doesn't look like a cigarette, maybe a long piece of grass. I remember chewing them. If it is an cigarette, that is how they were 'held' in those days. Cool like in the movies. He has a tie and vest so it must have been Sunday. I remember we got 'dressed-up' on Sundays, whether we went to church or not. And we spent a lot of Sundays at Grandma and Grandpa Whitsell's as did most of the daughters families.
