Wes and Dennie with Johnnie and Tookie Oxen Circa 1943

The two boys in the picture with Dennie and me are Johnny Oxen on the left and 'Tookie' Oxen on the right. They lived across form our house on Roberts Street in Nanty-Glo. They had a sister about my age named "Patty". "Tookie" was one of the gang of boys who played together every day but I never did know his real first name. I believe the family moved to Johnstown not long after we left Nanty-Glo.
