Wes in front yard of Nanty-Glo house

This photo probably was right after we moved into the house. The front porch was in need of repair. Dad totally reconstructed it after this. As I explain in one of the other photos, the house was also without a basement when it was purchased by my Mom and Dad. I have the original deed which shows they paid $500.00 for the house. I believe Granddad Hakanen loaned them the money to purchase the house.
